Why does a 24MP photo print larger at 100 DPI than 300 DPI?
DPI = dots per inch of printing. Fewer DPI spreads the same pixels over more inches, so the image is physically bigger but has less resolution per inch up close.
What is a "good" DPI for prints?
300 DPI is standard for sharp photo-quality prints and lab printing; 150 DPI is acceptable for large posters viewed from a distance.
