About My IP
Show your public IP with approximate location, ISP, and timezone for debugging and verification.
Your public IP is what the internet sees — usually your router’s or VPN exit’s address, not your device’s. This tool fetches it plus rough geolocation (typically city-accurate) and your ISP.
Location comes from IP registries, so it can be wrong near borders or on corporate/VPN egress. Adblockers sometimes block these endpoints; the tool says so instead of hanging. Nothing is stored.
Where it is used
Confirming VPN exit nodes, whitelisting your IP with hosts, debugging geo-targeting, and filling support tickets.
Formula
Public IP via ipify; geolocation via a free GeoIP API; graceful partial results.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why does it differ from my device IP?
- Devices use private LAN addresses (192.168.x.x). Only the public address is visible internet-wide, which is what this shows.
- Why is the location wrong?
- GeoIP maps registry data, not GPS. VPNs, corporate egress, and mobile carriers routinely place you in the wrong city.
- Is my IP personal data?
- Regulators increasingly treat it as such. We never log it — the lookup happens between your browser and the IP APIs.
