About This Calculator
This readability checker computes two standard metrics:
Flesch Reading Ease scores text from 0 (very hard) to 100 (very easy) using sentence length and syllables per word — 60–70 is the comfortable target for general web content. Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level converts the same inputs into a US school-grade estimate.
Both scores are computed from average sentence length and average syllables per word, then interpreted automatically. Analysis runs in your browser.
