Every genuine IMEI ends in a Luhn check digit computed from the other fourteen. This validator strips spaces and dashes, runs the checksum, and splits out the 8-digit TAC (which identifies the model), the serial, and the check digit.
Structure-valid is not registration-valid: only the manufacturer or carrier database confirms a device is genuine and not blacklisted. Everything runs in your browser.
