Does a "valid" result mean the number works?
No. Format validity only confirms the digits look like a phone number. Dialling actually requires an assigned, in-service number, which this tool cannot verify offline.
What is the E.164 range?
E.164 is the international standard allowing 7 to 15 digits per number. Numbers outside that range (or with letters) are flagged as suspicious.
